And the Breeze Blows

The breeze blows strong through leaves of green

Hot sun is out in full.

Towards the floor, falls seed unseen

Helpless to the pull.

The breeze blows softly over ground,

Wet leaves and dirt and mud.

Its whisper twists and curls around,

A seed becomes a bud.

The breeze blows firmly through the years,

To teach the seedling strength.

From bud to sprout the future clears,

A sapling now in length.

The breeze blows free and birdsong trills,

A mighty tree stands tall.

A forest stretched amid the hills,

Just one amongst the sprawl.

The breeze blows quiet; trucks roll round,

And chainsaws sever life.

A vibrant wood cut to the ground,

The damage rend is rife.

The breeze blows through the silent night,

No voices to be heard.

Another seed begins its plight;

Without so much a word.

Kind Regards,
